These sheets are invaluable for scratchbuilding, saving many hours of repetitive work creating the various surface patterns and textures. They are the same as those used in the Craftsman kits to make extension work easier. Each pack contains 4 sheets 130mm x 75mm of injection moulded styrene approximately 2mm thick, making them rigid enough to be self supporting.

The Craftsman series from Wills offers the more experienced modeller a cost effective way to make large, highly individual models. They cover a range of typically British buildings both railway and domestic; each kit includes plastic moulded materials sheets, detailed parts, illustrated instructions and templates. The use of sheet materials rather than moulded parts for the main components allows the opportunity to easily modify the design to suit your needs. Should you wish to extend the building the same materials sheets are available separately (see the Wills Materials Pack range). Similarly it would be easy to add additional doors and/or windows if required.

This free standing unit, stone-built with red pantile roof, is based on an actual farm shop in East Lothian, Scotland. The whitewashed roughcast front wall has two partially glazed doors with protective doors opened back and three windows with wooden shutters hinged down. A notice board shows opening times. The rear wall has a door at one end and two small windows. A fruit and vegetable stall is supplied separately, draped with imitation grass and topped with four open wooden boxes displaying cauliflower, carrots, potatoes and apples. Built in 1957, this small fleet of open wagons were design specifically for the movement of consignments to and from the continent by the channel train ferry. Allocated to the Southern Region, they featured an adjustable bar that supported a tarpaulin. On our model the bar is included, and can be removed as required, as was done on the real wagons when they were eventually used for internal traffic. Our model faithfully replicates the bauxite livery and all the various markings as per the prototype, including the corner flashes in black and white.
