Eighty of these wagons (diagram 69) were built in the 1930s to carry fertilizer from the I.C.I. Works at Billingham, Tee-side. Many ended their days carrying refuse in the Kings Cross area in the 1960s.These finely moulded plastic wagon kits come complete with pin point axle wheels and bearings. 30 of these horse boxes (diagram 5) were built by the LNER in 1938, mainly to carry racehorses to meetings throughout Britain. Many lasted into the early 1960s. Modelled on a hoist found at Plymouth Laira depot which is still in use today assisting with the maintenance of Locos and rolling stock. An Inspection Pit (Peco LK-56/156) was also often provided.The Rolling Underframe kit (Ref 546A) can be added to transform this unit into a movable crane. Complements your Engine Shed (See Ratio Kit 203). Kit includes a rectangular water tower, water crane, coaling stage with coal staithes and hoist with buckets. Supplied with some pre-coloured parts although painting and/or weathering can add realism; glue is required to complete this model. Footprint: 90mm x 30mm.

Kit consists of parts to build one complete Train Shed Unit which will span two tracks, and can be combined with further units to build a larger facility if required. Inspection pits were often placed in the tracks in these buildings (See NB-56F). Easily adapted to create a modern building for non railway use.

Block trains carrying specialised loads are a feature of the modern railway. All Peco wagons feature free running wheels in pin point axles. The ELC coupling, whilst compatible with the standard N gauge couplings, keeps a realistic distance between vehicles and enables the PL-25 electro magnetic decoupler to be used for remote uncoupling.

This kit is modelled on the Midland Railway standard 4d box with characteristic hipped roof, and is based on the prototype at Swadlincote Junction, Leics. This timeless design lasted right up to the demise of mechanical signalling. Use the Ratio Signal Box Interior kit No. 224 for a 20 lever frame, level crossing wheel and other detail. We have all seen these houses - they are all over the UK, forming a familiar feature in virtually every town and city.

There are 3 kits available: Low-relief Fronts & Backs, and the Full Building Kit. Easy and satisfying to build, the laser-cut detail is extremely fine, with wonderful brick and tile textures on the surface. The models also feature guttering and downpipes, a separate porch at the front and blinds in the windows, which can be positioned as desired. Once built the models can be painted to reflect the modeller's individual choice. 

You can easily imagine a row of these 1960s house backs lining up alongside the railway, or a small housing estate located close to the railway station - a perfect scene on the layout that can be enhanced with various other PECO, Ratio, Wills and Harburn Hamlet accessories.

Produced from fine plywood sheets the kits feature some very exquisite texture detailing replicating either the stone or corrugated iron  finish. Both kits include some interior detail such as roof bracing.

The corrugated iron building, LK220, which at Boston Lodge sits alongside the older stone building, is a simpler single-track structure but again can also be built single or double-ended and with or without the chimneys. Footprint 167 x 64mm.

These kits have been transferred over to Parkside from the PECO "Wonderful Wagons" range, a long-standing favourite kit of modellers for many years. Back then these kits were pre-coloured and decorated, but we have overhauled the kits, added an NEM pocket (so modellers can easily fit a coupler of their choice - although the kit is supplied with a set of tension-lock couplers) and now supply the kits with either a set of milk company decals (PC91) or oil company decals (PC92). The decals provide a whole lot more detail than previously applied to the original pre-decorated kits.
