9 ft Wheelbase LN WR/LMS Wagon Underframe Kit

Contains 2 underframe kits for unfitted pre group wagon underframe with wooden type solebars. Kit and scratch builders' accessory; glue and paints are required to complete this model.

BR 'Clayhood' China Wagon

BR built 875 of these wagons between 1954 and 1960 for use on the West Country china clay workings. The first 100 wagons were unfitted, but all were later fitted with Morton vacuum brakes. Transfers are included; glue and paints are required to complete this model. Use the Pecoscene PS-361 China Clay Dust Weathering Powder to give that 'working vehicle' look to your wagon.

BR Banana Van

300 of these wagons were built between 1952 and 1954. They were originally fitted with steam heating, but this was later removed. Used mainly by the companies Geest and Fyffes, these vans could be part of a mixed train or a 'block load' on their way from the shipping dock. Transfers are included; glue and paints are required to complete this model.

Carriage Cleaning Platform

Where carriages, multiple unit sets or modern locos are stored for cleaning and maintenance, narrow platforms are provided for access. Carriage Shed

These were a common feature in sidings where repairs, cleaning and maintenance were effected. This shed will cover 2 tracks and can easily be extended; the kit includes guttering and centre walkway. Cattle Dock

A common feature of country stations large and small, whilst market town cattle docks could be very large indeed. Our model is of the one at Yeovil Pen Mill (GWR) Station, Somerset. Livestock (Modelscene Cows Ref. 5100, Sheep and Lambs Ref. 5110, Pigs Ref. 5108, and Horses Ref.5105) was conveyed on British railways until around 1973, although many cattle docks remained in place unused, becoming overgrown - an interesting scenic feature. Coal Depot

In the days when everything came by rail, even the smallest goods yard would provide a facility for the local coal merchant next to a siding. The Ratio 526 Coal Sacks kit and Peco Scene Real Coal Refs PS-330,1 and 2 can provide extra detailing, as can the Modelscene Coalman and Scales Ref. 5029. Coal Sacks

Kit includes 48 coal sacks. Initially coal was transported in 12 ton wagons to railway yards. Coal merchants then transferred it to heavy duty 1 cwt sacks for supply to customers. Coal Staithes

Coal/Timber Merchants

Many merchants had private sidings where they could be supplied directly by rail. This kit includes office, loading platform, coal scales, hoist and 2 lamps and can be constructed in a number of ways. Engine Shed and Hut

Provide a home for your locos, giving them cover from the elements and a place for repairs and maintenance. Fogmans Hut

This kit replicates the precast concrete Southern Region example, often paired with the Concrete Hut (ref 518). A Fogman, when fog or snow reduced visibility, placed detonators on the rails ahead of signals or temporary speed restrictions imposed due to works etc. to provide additional warning to train drivers. The kit also includes a set of platelayers tools. Glue and paint are required to complete this kit. Footprint 20mm x 15mm.
