Peter Kazer took this former 3' narrow gauge line in Cumberland and modelled it to a scale of 1/4" to 1'. As a result, almost everything that can be seen on the layout has been scratch-built!

How to build a laser-cut wooden kit
Callum Willcox heads over the boarder to Scotland and constructs a model of a Highland Railway signal box in 4mm scale using the recently released Peco multi-media kit. He also explains how he added full interior detailing and lighting into the kit, which is based on a prototype example at Helmsdale.
