Stone Goods Shed
This kit represents a typical Goods Shed, essential to most railway stations for the storage and transfer of dry goods to road vehicles for distribution. The Peco range of wagon loads (e.g. NR-203 Timber Loads) for 10 and 15 ft. wagons provide realistic deliveries. This basic crane is an essential for all station yards, often found inside goods sheds or on loading banks. Used to lift loads up to 1 ton, the boom can be swung round on its base to transfer goods from road to rail vehicles. Square Water Tower
This common type of water tower is usually found tucked away and used to supply individual water cranes (2 included with kit - Ratio Water Crane kit 212 is available if more are required). Water Crane and Fire Devil
Stations often had these Water Cranes at the end of the platforms so the locomotives could be refilled without detaching them from the train. Also included is a coke brazier, called a 'fire devil' to keep the cast iron pipe from freezing up during the winter. These cranes were usually supplied by a large water tank (see Ratio Water Tower kits 215, 256 and Loco Servicing Depot kit 206).
