Crossing, Single Slip
Single slips were often used on double track lines to incorporate a trailing crossover into the access for a siding, goods yard etc. The clever geometry of this range enables the modeller to easily create convenient, complex and aesthetically satisfying track formations using combinations of small, medium and large radius turnouts and crossings. Despite a low visible rail height of just 1.4mm, all brands of N Gauge model locomotives will run on this track.
The ingenious rail section of PECO 55 combines strength and durability with a highly realistic appearance and uses the same universal rail joiners as Code 80; the geometry of this range has been cleverly designed to make it easy to build convenient, complex and aesthetically pleasing formations. BR Clam 21ton Ballast Wagon
Built in 1989-1991 on ex hopper chassis, 400 clam wagons carry mainly waste ballast. These finely moulded plastic wagon kits come complete with pin point axle wheels. Glue and paint will be required, along with appropriate transfers .

CDA - EWS China Clay Hopper Wagon, Maroon
In August 2023 DB Cargo retired the last of the former BR/ECC china clay CDA hoppers after a service life of 35 years. These unique and distinctive wagons will be missed by enthusiasts but thanks to PECO, modellers can keep their legacy going in model form!
Note that the CDA wagons are now fitted with metal-tyred wheels as standard.
The CDA China Clay hopper, and the HAA Coal Hopper, are closely related, sharing the same design and operational principles, with bottom hopper doors opened to empty the contents, in the case of china clay, for loading into ships at Carne Point, near Fowey in Cornwall. As china clay must be kept dry special rolling tarpaulin covers protected the load, as featured on our models.
