***CANCELLED*** - Rails of Sheffield - Announce Exclusive Stephenson's Rocket "Blue Coaches" in 00

***UPDATE - CANCELLED in Light of Hornby Announcement***
Following the recent release of the Stephenson's Rocket Train Pack from Hornby, Rails of Sheffield announce the exclusive production of the Second Class Open "Blue Coach" in 00

From its opening in 1830, the Liverpool & Manchester Railway ran both First and Second Class coaches.  The Second Class coaches, known as "blue coaches" to distinguish them from the yellow of First Class, were initially open in accordance with stage coach travel of the day, where those paying a lower fare sat in the open air.  Our model is based upon a replica coach in the National Collection, built for the Liverpool and Manchester Railway's centenary celebrations in 1930.

Following the success of recent Exclusive SECR Box Vans, Rails of Sheffield plan to use the same cutting edge technology and materials to produce these iconic passenger vehicles from the dawn of the railway empire.

At the time of posting CAD for the model are already completed with the test print sample due very soon, with production planned soon after.

***UPDATE***

On light of Hornby's announcement on July 1st 2020 Rails have issued a statement on the cancellation of the project.
