NEW November issue of Railway Modeller in stores & online, along with FREE 2025 calendar
Railway Modeller magazine has just released its latest November issue in its 75th year of operation, along with a FREE 2025 calendar, included with the issue.
As Railway Modeller celebrates its 75th anniversary, we return to the Model Railway Club in London – the world's oldest such group, formed in 1910 – to bring readers up to date with the latest developments on Copenhagen Fields, its 2mm Fine Scale model of the East Coast Main Line just outside King's Cross and the surrounding area of North London, which previously featured in the April 2012 issue.
Railway of the Month is Rowington for Shrewley, a 4mm scale double track main line set in pre-Grouping Great Western Railway days, while other layout highlights include Blackmoor, an OO9 model of the legendary Lynton & Barnstaple Railway; Macclesfield Hibel Road, a 1950s BR London Midland Region station in N gauge; and Lapping Works, a Black Country industrial site in O gauge.
Scale Drawings provides 4mm scale diagrams of the London & South Western Railway Adams T3 4-4-0, with the announcement in News that Bachmann is to produce the first ever ready-to-run model of this class in OO gauge in its EFE Rail range. Chris Ford continues with the construction of his OO9 Ffestiniog Railway layout, while Andrew Burnham shows how to install digital sound in a PECO/Kato Ffestiniog Railway Large England locomotive in OO9.
Leading the new product reviews are the two streamlined London & North Eastern Railway B17/5 4-6-0s, and the preserved BR 9F No.92203 Black Prince, both from Hornby in OO gauge. Other reviews include LNER/London Midland & Scottish Railway Lowmac wagons, London & North Western Railway vans and Bedford OB buses from Rapido Trains UK (all in OO), and O gauge LMS inspection saloons and BR Mk.II coaches from Heljan.
