Hornby unveils 2019 range

Hornby has revealed its 2019 range of new products, which includes a number of exciting new-tooling projects; a Peckett B2 0-6-0T, an all-new Stanier Princess Royal 4-6-2 (the tooling will allow for different boilers and other variations), an all-new GWR large Prairie, a Ruston 48DS (supplied coupled to a match truck with pickups due to the loco’s short wheelbase), refurbished Mk.IIIs with automatic doors (in Scotrail, Great Western Railway and Cross Country liveries), BR Mk.IIf coaches to four body types, an LSWR 20T brake van, Stonier LMS 20T brake van, Bulleid 59' short frame coaches and GWR 57' bow-end non-gangwayed stock.

There will also be a raft of new train sets, train packs, coach packs and new livery versions of locomotive and rolling stock models from existing tooling.

A new agreement has been reached with Warner Brothers, which means that Harry Potter features large in the 2019 range. A Hogwarts Express set will be introduced with a Hall model, an oval of track plus siding, and two Mk.I coaches. The Hogsmeade structures will be made up from a selection of Skaledale ready-to-plant buildings, with new longer platform sections.
