In the February 2021 Issue of Railway Modeller, we take a closer look at the all new Generic 4 wheel coach from Hornby.
Announced as part of the 2021 range alongside their six wheel counterparts, these quirky items of passenger rolling stock are due for release in a wide array of pre-grouping, big-four and nationalised liveries, including Great Northern Teak, London & South Western Salmon and Brown, North British Crimson lake and GWR Chocolate and Cream, as seen here paired with Hornby’s Centenary Peckett.
Each coach will be available with or without Hornby’s new ‘MagLight’ lighting system. This clever battery powder unit, is activated by passing the supplied magnet over the hidden reed switch located in the roof, providing hours of flicker free interior lighting.
