Railway Modeller takes an Exclusive look at Pre-Production samples of the eagerly anticipated Hattons Originals Class 66 in 00.
On first glance these models really do set a high-standard for Modern Traction in 00, featuring heavy die-cast construction, etched radiator grills (with a detailed representation of equipment behind them), wealth of fine pipework, plus rotating axle boxes (a first we believe, for the British 00 market).
In our haulage tests, the samples handled an impressive rake of no less than 26 Pullman Car, equivalent to 4.160KG, with ease through the sharp curves and gradients on our Peco test track.
