Accurascale has today announced another significant milestone in the development of their Mark 5 coaches in OO, with the arrival of the EP samples .
Announced at Model Rail Scotland in 2019, the models were developed along the real coaches, keep up-to-date with modifications made before entering service. These first samples cover the Caledonian Sleeper variants, with the TransPennine Express to follow soon.
The coaches will feature a new magnetic close coupling system for between coaches, which will be easily swapped out for tension locks, Kadees or other NEM couplings if desired.
Interior lighting will also be fitted at standard, controlled by a magnetic wand to on and off positions, which will operate on both DC and DCC layouts.
Each four coach Caledonian set is priced at £179.99, with the five coach (Four coach + Driving Trailer) TransPennine sets priced at £225.00.
