Yard Crane

Used for loading goods onto wagons, these cranes were to be found by bay platforms in small stations with no goods sheds or in the yard of larger stations. The kit includes fine chain for the operating drive wheels and cord for the jib. Supplied with pre-coloured parts although painting and/or weathering can add realism (See the Pecoscene Weathering Powder range PS-360 - 365); glue is required to complete this model.

Yard Crane

This basic crane is an essential for all station yards, often found inside goods sheds or on loading banks. Used to lift loads up to 1 ton, the boom can be swung round on its base to transfer goods from road to rail vehicles. Supplied with some pre-coloured parts, painting and/or weathering can add realism; glue is required to complete this model. Base Diameter: 25mm

Yard Office

Often, the yard foreman would have an office near the yard gate, for completing paperwork and answering the telephone (don't forget the telegraph poles [Ref 452]!). Supplied with pre-coloured parts although painting and/or weathering can add realism (See the Pecoscene Weathering Powder range PS-360 - 365); glue is required to complete this model. Footprint: 46mm x 30mm.

ARP Signal Box

These specially reinforced ARP (Air Raid Precautions) signal boxes featured substantial construction, primarily to protect the locking room gear from bomb blasts during air raids in World War II. A number of similar signal box designs were still to be found around the rail network until quite recently, due to them being difficult to demolish!
The 554 includes all moulded parts required which are produced to a high standard and in base colours. Kit requires painting and light weathering to create the signal box pictured above.
