Jools Holland OBE is a busy man. As a music business legend he is widely known as host of his successful BBC2 TV show but can also be found pounding the country and northern Europe with his rhythm and blues orchestra on a punishing schedule of concert dates.
He does have a bolt-hole though - an amazing Alice in Wonderland kind of bolt hole. Up a curved staircase at the back of his house, and through a magical door, lies a fabulous world of miniature escapism where Jools steals himself away with an amazing scenic model railway over 100' in length.
For the first time ever, in the January 2019 issue of Railway Modeller, Jools unveils his OO/HO gauge panoramic railway layout depicting twentieth century landmarks from London, British and northern European locations, all skilfully linked by dozens of railway track loops and trains.
Make sure you pick up your copy - on sale from 13th December 2018!
A further article covering the European sections of the layout in detail appears in the January 2019 issue of our sister magazine – Continental Modeller (on sale from 20th December).

Later with Jools Holland… and his giant model railway!
