Dapol has announced a newly tooled GWR 78xx Manor 4-6-0 for 00, following on from the GWR Mogul 2-6-0 and large Prairie 2-6-2T, which are currently under development.
The class of 30 locomotives was constructed in two batches; the first between 1938 - 1939, with a further 10 with after nationalisation.
The model will build on many of the developments from the Mogul project; including slide-in PCB (with provisions for sugar cube speaker), glowing firebox and push-fit electrical connection between the loco and tender, and more.
Currently seven versions have been announced, covering a plethora of pre-Grouping and post-nationalisation liveries, with each available in analogue, DCC Fitted & Factory Sound Fitted.
The proposed project is currently at the CAD Stage, with delivery expected arrival during 2021.
