Modern DPD Distribution Depot

We have teamed up with DPD to produce this new modular kit in the Wills Modern range, replicating a typical local depot that might be found on industrial estates across the country, and quite possibly adjacent to the railway.

The modeller can choose where to place doors and windows, and whether to build as a stand-alone structure or as a low-relief backdrop. This kit is supplied with a fully detailed printed interior, so modellers can construct the building with doors and shutters open if they wish. There is even an office scene for the windows! The kit is also supplied with coloured parts, meaning that painting, whilst desirable for full authenticity, is not essential.

The Wills company started in 1978 making simple but extremely effective plastic scenic kits. The well-known modeller and writer Iain Rice was involved with the design and the range quickly grew.
In 1998, the Wills plastic scenic series was sold to PECO and production was moved from Forest Row to the Ratio Factory in Buckfastleigh. Wills structure kits are suitable for use on all UK model layouts representing the 1930s up to the 1960s and beyond. Many of these types of buildings are still in existence today. These authentic designs include railway, domestic and commercial kits to provide a realistic setting for your model railway or diorama.
