PECO is one of the few manufacturers in the hobby to design and cut its own tooling. Our toolroom and moulding shop sit side by side in Beer, Devon, giving us complete control over quality from first drawing to finished product. It is a capability built over 80 years and it remains at the heart of everything we make.
The toolroom
Precision toolmaking is a craft in its own right. Our engineers produce the injection mould tools behind every PECO product, working to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre. Many of our tools remain in service decades after they were first cut, a testament to the quality of their construction.

Moulding and assembly
Our moulding shop runs a wide range of injection moulding machines producing components in multiple materials. Skilled hands then assemble, finish and inspect each product. PECO track is still assembled by people, not just machines, and every point is tested before it leaves the factory.
Hand crafted in the UK
