Design a Livery for ‘Dickie’

Children’s competition to design the coachwork livery for The Beer Heights Light Railway locomotive, ‘Dickie’

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary this year of the Beer Heights Light Railway which opened in 1975, PECO is running a special competition to design a new livery for 0-4-2 tender locomotive No.3 ‘Dickie’, which was built in 1976.

To enter the competition, simply download the outline drawing of Dickie and colour this in with your best design. Then simply scan and e-mail this back to us at samantha.maddox@peco.co with your name, age and contact details, to enter!

The competition closes on Easter Sunday, 20th April 2025, and the new design will be unveiled on Monday 14 July 2025 - which is the actual 50th Anniversary date of the BHLR. The winner will get to see their design unveiled at a special ceremony on the railway later in the summer.
